Dear TAA Chapter Leaders,
We need your help to inform what the next generation of behavioral therapy for Tourette Syndrome should look like. You can make your voice heard by completing a brief (2-5 minute) survey at https://www.treatingtourettetogether.org/ . Results from this survey will inform an in-person summit this summer.
The Treating Tourette Together Summit, to be held Sat-Sun August 17th and 18th in Minneapolis, Minnesota will gather healthcare professionals, researchers, and, most importantly, people with Tourette Syndrome (TS) and their families, to plot the course for the next generation of research on behavioral treatments for TS. This effort is led by TAA and a group of researchers and clinicians across the U.S. and Canada and is made possible by a grant from the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute.
The main goal of Treating Tourette Together is to include the voices of people with TS and their families in the research planning process, so that the results of future studies will be able to make the greatest impact possible in the lives of people with TS.
If you are interested in becoming more involved, there will be options for a limited number of individuals to attend the summit in person (with expenses paid and a stipend for your time), or to participate in the conference remotely from an internet-connected device. You can also explore the website to learn more about the Summit and these options.
Thank you for lending your voice to inform the future of research on behavioral treatments for Tourette Syndrome. Please do pass this along to anyone in your network who might also be interested.
